Dead and Missing
The official death toll from last week's tsunamis has reached nearly 5,200, with over 8,000 injured and nearly 4,000 still missing. According to the latest figures from the government's tsunami relief centre yesterday evening, 5,187 people died in the tragedy, while 8,457 were still injured and 3,810 remained missing. Phang-nga bore the brunt of the disaster, with 4,077 deaths and 5,597 injured. ( last updated January 4, 2005 )

Below are the useful websites to searching for your missing friends or families :

www.missingpersons.or.th is the website of Thai government that you can register your missing relatives or friends and seek for missing person. Some missing ones are now found ! 

www.phuketitcity.com is the very useful website of Thai government with database that you can search for list of missing, injured and dead person by country/nationality. There are also pictures of unidentified dead person. Please be careful your mind when you watch those pictures alone.

www.thaitsunami.com is the website of Thailand's Official Tsunami and Disaster Center that you can request for help from the Thai government. There are also list of injuries at all hospitals in Phuket.  

http://www.manager.co.th/Home/PostPic.aspx is the website that you can post the pictures with the details of your lost friends or relatives who were involved in this terrible situation.
